1. What did you do in 2012 that you'd never done before?
Joined a choir as an adult. Made natural history and cookery shows. Maintained a long distance relationship.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
New things new things.


3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully not.


5. What countries did you visit?
Cyprus, Belgium (Really want to say Cuba but that was January 2013-hence this being late- so guess that's for next year!)


6. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?
More of a social life in Bristol, more mates.


7. What date from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
New years.


8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Professionally:Successfully managing 4 series at once. Getting great feedback and being liked by my teams.
Personally: keeping a long distance thing going for a whole year.


9. What was your biggest failure?
Not being able to make more mates here and keep in touch with more friends at home.


10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nope


11. What was the best thing you bought?
A lot of flights and trains! Tickets to Glastonbury that will pay off this June!


12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Still my grandpa for keeping himself going at the age of 86. He's not so well right now and I really hope he recovers and gets back to his old self soon.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Certain execs at work.

14. Where did most of your money go?
travelling home/elsewhere every month to visit friends and family.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Planning Cuba! and work again- especially the cookery show.

16. What song will always remind you of 2012?

Happier

worrying about the future.


20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent it with the family but it was a quiet one. I had the flu, dad had gout and my grandpa's diabetes was playing up so not much fun all round.

22. Did you fall in love in 2012?
Yes


23. How many one night stands?

none.


24. What was your favourite TV programme?
How I met your Mother. New Girl. Basically all the back to back american sitcoms on 4 which make for brain fuzz watching after work.


25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

nope.


26. What was the best book you read?
It Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Choir! Acapella harmony singing of pop classics. Massive geek-yes I know.


28. What did you want and get?
A better understanding of my relationship with M.
Really great projects at work.
To stay in the flat that I'm in and not have to move in with randoms.
For everyone in my family to stay well.

29. What did you want and not get?
More clarity on what I want in the future and where I should be in order to get that. A 'gut' feeling about what to do next.

30. What was your favourite film of this year?
The Artist.

31. What did you do on your birthday?
Went to to the pub with Glasgow friends- had a good catch up with everyone. Drank too many pints.


32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
To feel a bit more settled in bristol- to have a mate you can just call up and say 'hey- want to go for a drink/walk/movie?'


33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2012?
Clothes that you can wear to cycle to work. But that doesn't rule out heels.

34. What kept you sane?
regular phone calls with my mum :)

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Brendan from hollyoaks due the the way he really gets into the man on man kissing.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
All Out's global campaign for lgbt equality.


37. Who did you miss?
my mates from home, my family.
M - 1.5 days together a fortnight isn't enough.


38. Who was the best new person you met?
T and Z- but they moved back to australia to have their baby. No more random spur of the moment days/nights out or driving buddies for road trips.


39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2012
Given the chance to prove yourself you're always more capable than you think.
